TUARAN: Roadside hawkers and petty traders in the Sulaman area will receive RM3,000 each in cash assistance, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Hajiji, who is also Sulaman Assemblyman, said he had instructed the Tuaran District Officer to compile a list of eligible traders so the assistance could be distributed as soon as possible.

He said he understood the needs of petty traders, many of whom required urgent financial support, when officiating the Entrepreneurs Carnival and Stem X Challenge held in conjunction with the Fifa World Cup 2026 Final at the Bajau Sama Cultural Centre here on Sunday night.
Hajiji said the carnival would encourage small entrepreneurs, particularly youths, to expand their businesses, adding that the Government provides various forms of assistance to help entrepreneurs progress.
He also stressed the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Stem), saying the programme highlighted how the values of discipline, strategy, teamwork and determination promoted through sport were equally important in education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
