Kota Kinabalu: The proposed Membakut Sports Complex has been listed under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) development projects, said Youth, Sports and Creative Economy Development Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan (pic).
He said the ministry’s next step was to gazette the identified land for the project, while the actual cost and implementation timeline would be determined after land acquisition and approval procedures were completed.

Nizam said this in reply to Bongawan Assemblyman Datuk Dr Daud Yusof during the State Legislative Assembly sitting on Monday.
He said the proposed Mini Sports Complex in Sungai Manila would also be considered under a future Malaysia Plan development programme, subject to suitable land availability and Government approval for the required allocation.
Nizam said both projects were raised during the sitting as they were related to sports infrastructure development.
