Kota Kinabalu: Tambunan Assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan has called for a bipartisan select committee to pursue Sabah's full rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), questioning the continued interim Special Grant payments despite a court ruling declaring them invalid.

Debating the Supplementary Supply Bill 2026 on Monday, he said Sabah was owed billions of ringgit in unpaid petroleum duties and revenue entitlements, which he claimed could give the State a budget larger than Sarawak's.

Jeffrey also questioned the size of the Supplementary Supply Bill, urging the Government to prioritise spending on agriculture, roads and flood mitigation.
