Kota Kinabalu: The Jom! Malaysia–China Friendship Run 2026 has attracted more than 5,000 participants, with main sponsor Luen Thai Group contributing 500 mystery-box gifts worth RM100,000 for the first 500 finishers.
The Hong Kong-based group, parent company of Skechers, announced the additional support during a meeting between Malaysia–China Friendship Association Sabah President Dr Oh Ei Sun and Luen Thai Group Vice Chairman and Skechers China, Korea and Southeast Asia CEO Willie Tan.
Dr Oh said the run goes beyond sports, serving as a platform to strengthen people-to-people friendship between Malaysia and China through cultural, tourism and community exchanges.
He thanked Skechers and Luen Thai Group for their continued support, saying corporate involvement has helped expand the event’s scale and impact while promoting social responsibility.
