BEAUFORT: The Wildlife Department is urged to take immediate action to capture several crocodiles in Kampung Rantis Bangkalalak, which have been causing anxiety and fear among the villagers.

A villager, known only as Jalani, told Daily Express Tuesday that the crocodiles had been seen climbing onto the road and several areas around the village.

“What is most concerning is that these reptiles are frequently spotted walking on the road, especially at night, as the distance between the road and the nearby Bangkalalak River is very short, making the area high-risk.

“A villager walking at night recently encountered one of the crocodiles. Fortunately, he was carrying a torch and managed to avoid danger,” said Jalani.
