Kota Kinabalu: A Facebook user has urged the public to verify ownership and management authority before renting space at Asia City Complex after claiming she suffered financial losses in an alleged rental dispute.
The woman alleged she rented a space from a person who claimed to be the sole owner before later discovering the ownership status was different.

Following the post, Sabah Urban Development Corporation (SUDC) issued an official statement confirming that it and Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco) are the lawful beneficial co-owners of the car park areas on the second, third and fourth floors of Asia City Complex.
SUDC also said CACM Property Management Sdn Bhd has been appointed by SUDC and Sedco as the Interim Management Corporation to manage Asia City Complex and the Link Bridge.
The Facebook user advised prospective tenants to verify ownership and management authority with the relevant parties and obtain written proof before signing agreements or making any payments.
