LAHAD DATU: The district police believed they have solved several cases involving property crimes with a series of arrests from July 15 to July 17.
District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner of Police Dzulbaharin Ismail said police intelligence, investigation and operation have resulted in the arrests of four local men and two foreigners, suspected involved in several cases of break ins, theft and motorcycle theft.

Dzulbaharin said on July 15, the Crime Investigation Division (CID) of Lahad Datu Police Headquarters (IPD LD) detained a 53-year-old local man and a 32-year-old foreigner who suspected involved in several cases of break ins and theft at Taman Aman, Taman Aman Jaya 3, Taman Gembira, Taman Harapan and Kampung Sharip.
“Following the arrests, on July 17, the CID arrested a 26-year-old local man for his suspected involvement in break-ins and theft at Palm Height Residence.
“During the arrest, a Perodua Axia believed used by the suspect to commit the crimes was seized,” he said, in a statement on Saturday.
According to Dzulbaharin, in a separate operation, Police also detained two teenagers aged 15 and 16 for possessing a modified motorcycle without giving reasonable explanation.

Another 17-year-old teenager was detained with a motorcycle (Yamaha C100) that have been reported missing on July 16.
Dzulbaharin said all the suspects were currently detained for investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code for break ins, Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft, Section 379A of the Penal Code for motorcycle theft and Section 22A(1) of of the Sabah Minor Offences Ordinance.
“The successes are the result of continuous commitments of the CID teams in combating criminal activities involving properties as well as to ensure the safety of the community.
“We (Police) will take stern action against any individuals involved in criminal activities,” he said.
Police also calls on the public to convey any information to the police so that immediate action could be taken. Public cooperations is the main factor in ensuring the peace, safety and public order remains protected.
