Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Government, through the Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry, will continue to prioritise business events recognising their vital role in driving economic growth and fostering collaboration across the Asia Pacific region.
Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said that with the sector’s increasing influence in trade, investment and knowledge exchange, there is strong support for initiatives that strengthen the regional business events ecosystem.

“As Asia Pacific continues to emerge as a global hub for innovation and industry development, platforms like Business Event in Sabah 2025 play a crucial role in shaping its future,” he said at the opening of the 2nd International Business Events Forum- BEIn Sabah 2025 at the Sabah International Convention Centre here today. His speech was delivered by Deputy Chief Minister cum Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.
The Chief Minister said conferences, trade exhibitions and incentive programmes are no longer just platforms for networking, they are catalysts for economic transformation, knowledge exchangeand strategic partnerships.
“It is within this landscape that Business Events In Sabah 2025 emerges, reinforcing our collective vision of empowering Asia Pacific through business events.”
