Pasir Gudang: Sabah Umno is targeting at least 80 per cent support from Sabahan voters for Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates contesting the Johor Jaya and Permas state constituencies in the upcoming Johor State Election.
Its Treasurer, Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak, said the target was based on encouraging feedback received throughout the campaign and continuous engagement with Sabahans living and working in Johor.

Speaking at the Santai Anak Sabah programme at Balai Komuniti Tasek 12 in Bandar Seri Alam on Friday, he said many Sabahans viewed political stability as essential for sustaining economic growth, attracting investment, creating quality jobs and improving opportunities for families and the younger generation.
Salleh said Sabahans were looking for a stable government capable of delivering economic growth, strengthening investor confidence and creating more employment opportunities, adding that these were the issues that mattered most to them.
He said the Sabahan vote was split in the previous Johor State Election, with many supporting Warisan candidates, but believed much of that support would now consolidate behind BN as Warisan was not contesting, expressing confidence that a more united Sabahan vote would strengthen BN's prospects in Johor Jaya and Permas while reflecting Sabahans' continued support for stability, economic growth and a more prosperous Malaysia.
