Kota Kinabalu: Thousands of people gathered at the Havoc 2026 Community Festival held in conjunction with the screening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex basketball courts on Sunday evening.
Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan, who officiated the opening ceremony, said the event highlighted the power of sports in bringing communities together.

He said the festival also served as a platform to strengthen unity, encourage a healthy lifestyle and support the community economy through the participation of local entrepreneurs and creative industry players.
The event, which began earlier in the evening, featured a wide range of activities including a children’s colouring competition, freestyle ball weighing competition, penalty kicks, funky fitness mania, an e-sports competition, exhibition stalls, a meet-and-greet session with Sabah FC players, busking performances, lucky draws and community entertainment.
Also present were Nizam’s deputy Dato’ Sri Anil Sandhu, Ministry permanent secretary Datuk Mansur Asun and Sabah Sports Board chairman Syed Ahmad Syed Abas.
