RANAU: Expectations were high, and Jovett Heaven Jonis did not disappoint when as expected, SMAG Kota Marudu athlete claimed 200m hurdles gold at MSSS Sabah in Kompleks Sukan Ranau.

The athlete from Sekolah Menengah Advent Goshen (SMAG) Kota Marudu clocked an impressive 24.42 seconds.

Jovett described the victory as the result of months of disciplined preparation and the unwavering support he received from those around him.

“I am truly grateful for this victory. This gold medal does not belong to me alone. It is the result of countless prayers, sacrifices and encouragement from my parents, teachers and coaches, who have always believed in my abilities and never stopped motivating me to give my best,” he said.
