Kota Kinabalu: The Maffi Friendly Games have strengthened teamwork and camaraderie among staff of the ministry, departments and agencies, says Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Jamawi Jaafar.
Speaking at the closing ceremony on Tuesday, he said the games provided a platform to foster closer ties and build a stronger and more productive organisation.
The games featured 10 events, including badminton, table tennis, futsal, volleyball, bowling, athletics, pickleball and e-sports.
Jamawi also announced plans to organise the Maffi Cup football tournament by category to further promote sports within the ministry.
He hoped the sporting spirit displayed throughout the games would continue to strengthen teamwork and improve public service delivery.
