Sabah Air chopper crash-lands at Trusmadi

Kota Kinabalu: A Bell 206L4 helicopter belonging to Sabah Air made an emergency crash landing at Trus Madi in Tambunan, last Thursday.State Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said five people, including forestry officers, were on board but no casualties were reported in the incident that was said to have occurred around 1pm.

"We were informed that they had gone there to carry out maintenance work on a radio transmitter.

"There was a mechanical problem and the helicopter made a hard landing. It was learnt that the helicopter was also damaged in the incident.

"We have referred this to the Department Civil Aviation (DCA) for further investigation," he said when contacted by Daily Express, Tuesday.
