Kota Kinabalu: The resumption of the Labuan-Kota Kinabalu express ferry service on Dec 15 is viewed as a significant boost for Sabah, promising a multitude of benefits for both residents and the tourism sector.
Former Senator Datuk John Ambrose and Sabah Cross-Border Trade Association (SCBTA) President Razanah Paimin believe it represents more than just a means of transportation; it’s a catalyst for economic growth, tourism development and stronger community ties.
It is also expected to significantly revitalise Labuan’s economy.
“Improved accessibility between the duty-free island and mainland Sabah will facilitate the smoother movement of people and goods, fostering economic growth in the region,” said John and Razanah.
