KINABATANGAN: A non-permanent house and a Perodua Myvi were destroyed in a fire at Kampung Rancangan Suam Lambak, Peringkat 1, Jalan 3, early Saturday.
The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 1.03am and firefighters from the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station, located about 30km away, arrived at the scene at 1.48am.

Operations Commander PBK I Mohamud Punya said the 40ft by 45ft house and the vehicle were both completely destroyed, with firefighters using a 200-foot hose line and two water jets supplied by a fire engine to extinguish the blaze.
The fire was brought under control at 2.09am and the operation concluded at 3.08am after firefighters ensured there were no further hazards at the scene.
No casualties were reported, while the operation involved seven firefighters from the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station.
