Pengiran Saifuddin said larger allocations were needed to repair village roads, improve drainage in flood-prone areas such as Benoni and Takis, and address riverbank erosion along Sungai Padang.
He also proposed four covered halls at strategic tamu sites to improve facilities for traders, fishermen and entrepreneurs, replacing the existing tent system.
He further proposed developing the Papar Town Riverfront and upgrading the lighting at the historic Papar Yellow Bridge to strengthen community-based tourism and create new economic opportunities.
