Kota Kinabalu: Danish gymnastics instructor Jimmi Anderson recently conducted a workshop for local gymnasts in Kota Kinabalu, sharing his expertise and experience with aspiring athletes.
Anderson, who was in Sabah for a family vacation, took time to conduct the session for about 30 to 35 enthusiastic participants, including members of the state’s Sukma gymnastics team.

State head coach Liew Tong Ee, who studied at the same gymnastics school in Denmark as Anderson, expressed his appreciation for Anderson’s willingness to conduct the workshop.
He said the programme provided more than just skill development, as it also helped motivate young athletes and boost their confidence.
According to Liew, Anderson’s coaching approach reflects the “Danish way” of training, which combines fun, challenges and meaningful interactions while focusing on essential skills and mental preparation for competitions.
“Our coaches also benefited from the sessions. As the head coach, we would like to thank him for sharing his experience and bringing joy and positive energy to the gym,” he said.
