Kota Kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Women is strengthening its election machinery ahead of the coming State Election (PRN) and General Election (PRU) by holding regular meetings at all levels and appointing new strategic unit heads.
Its hief, Datuk Seri Azizah Mohd Dun, said consistent meetings were important to strengthen the party's movement, coordinate preparations and keep members updated on political developments and current issues.

Speaking after chairing the GRS Women meeting at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Tuesday, Azizah announced the formation of five new strategic units, saying they would plan and implement high-impact programmes for the community.
She said she would head the Policy and Strategy Unit, while Datuk Surinam Sadikun was appointed chairman of the Economic Unit, Simi Linggom the Health Unit, Datin Atin Belynda Buntot the Information Unit and Datin Wong Siow Lee @ Mary Wong the Welfare Unit.
Azizah said GRS Women must continue engaging with the people and operate as a disciplined and proactive team to ensure the party is prepared for the coming elections.
