Kota Kinabalu: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Women's wing lodged a police report on Friday against the owner of a Facebook account over posts allegedly defaming Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and linking him to an immigration decision involving an activist.

The report, lodged at the City police headquarters, alleged that several posts published on or around July 1 falsely claimed Hajiji had instructed the Immigration Department to bar activist Asraf Sharafi Mohammad Azhar from entering Sabah.

The report was lodged by Gagasan Rakyat Women Exco members Julia Datuk Ahmad Bahrom Titingan and Masturah Jamrah, accompanied by two other members, with Julia saying freedom of expression must be exercised responsibly and that facts should support allegations against any individual.

She said the report was intended to protect the integrity of the Chief Minister's office while allowing the authorities to investigate whether any laws had been breached and take appropriate action if offences were established.

The 2026 D-MAX also introduces an 8-speed automatic gearbox with sequential shift across the range, including the Single Cab variant, making it the first pick-up truck in Malaysia to offer an automatic transmission in that body style.
Gagasan Rakyat Women also alleged that the same Facebook user compared Hajiji, who is performing the umrah pilgrimage in Makkah, to Abu Jahal, and urged police to investigate the posts under relevant laws while calling on social media users to verify information before sharing it and avoid slander or personal attacks.
