KOTA BELUD: Tempasuk Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Arsad Bistari urged Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) and village chiefs to take a more proactive role in addressing issues related to village development, safety and local customs.
He said the progress and well-being of a village reflected the commitment and effectiveness of the two entities, and should serve as a measure of their performance in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to them.

“JKKK and village chiefs have the authority to identify problems and seek allocations from the government to resolve issues affecting their respective villages.
“The development progress of each village reflects the commitment demonstrated by the JKKK and village chiefs, and should be used as a reference in evaluating their performance.
“Therefore, I urge JKKK members and village chiefs, especially those within the Tempasuk constituency, to be more proactive in playing their role as problem-solvers within their respective communities,” he said in a statement on Friday.
Arsad also welcomed feedback, complaints and constructive criticism from residents regarding the performance of JKKK members and village chiefs in their respective areas.
He said appropriate action would be taken to ensure that community development efforts in the Tempasuk constituency continue smoothly.
“I welcome complaints and feedback from the public regarding the performance of JKKK members and village chiefs in their respective villages.
“Necessary action will also be taken to ensure that development in the Tempasuk constituency progresses effectively,” he added.
