Kota Kinabalu: Construction of the Dusun Civilisation and Ethnic Heritage Museum in Ranau is 50 per cent complete and remains on schedule for completion in March 2027.

(pic) said a new contractor was appointed to resume the RM3.5 million project, with works beginning on March 4, 2025 under a 24-month implementation period.

He said physical progress had reached 50 per cent as of the end of June and that the project was progressing according to schedule.
Andi said the museum would serve as a centre for preserving and conserving ethnic cultural heritage while supporting cultural tourism and the local economy, with the Ministry and Sabah Museum Department continuing to monitor its implementation.
Responding to a supplementary question, he said the Ministry had taken note of concerns over the management of Bukit Tengkorak Museum and the Early Islamic Burial Museum on Omadal Island in Semporna and would work to address the issue.
