Kota Kinabalu: The State Government said District Action Committee meetings continue to involve Federal and State agencies, while welcoming development proposals from all assemblymen.

Assistant Rural Development Minister Datuk Juil Nuatim (pic) said proposals on constituency needs could be submitted to the District Officer, who serves as the committee secretariat, and would be given due consideration.

Replying to Manahing Tinggilani (Sebatik) during question time in the State Legislative Assembly on Thursday, he said inviting Federal and State agencies to the meetings remained the Government's practice.

In a supplementary reply, Rural Development Minister Datuk Rubin Balang said district offices currently do not invite opposition assemblymen to the meetings because of differing government policies.

He said, however, opposition assemblymen could still submit proposals on the needs of their constituencies for consideration.
