Kota Kinabalu: A 35-year-old nightclub bouncer claimed trial in the Sessions Court here to raping a 21-year-old student at a parking lot in Penampang.
Shah Rizal Sazry pleaded not guilty before Judge Zaini Fishir @ Fisal to committing the offence on the first floor of the premises on July 11.

The charge under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code provides for a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping, upon conviction.
The court granted bail at RM10,000 with RM5,000 deposited in two local sureties, and ordered the accused to report to the nearest police station monthly and surrender his passport.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Fazriel Fardiansyah Abdul Kadir prosecuted, while the accused was unrepresented, with mention fixed for Aug 20.
